This first seminar will look at Green buildings, or buildings that minimise adverse impacts upon the environment. In particular, the focus will be on power, and how and why to reduce the energy consumption of office and public buildings. Topics covered over the two mornings will include:
 

  • economic benefits
  • increased worker productivity
  • power consumption / auditing
  • greenhouse gas reduction
  • new buildings / retrofitting
  • green energy

Each seminar comes accompanied with a comprehensive reource manual on CD-ROM.

 

Sustainability in the Workplace

This series of seminars is designed to give environmental coordinators in offices the knowledge and tools to foster sustainability in the workplace. Through a combination of expert advice from industry practitioners and workshopping specific problems, the aim of the series is to enable offices and workplaces to all achieve best-practice outcomes in environmental management and to make sustainability everyone’s business.
