WORKSHOPS & KIDS ACTIVITIES 
Workshops
There will be a variety of free workshops running through the afternoon. These include:
Beekeepers Stall and Hive Display by: Beekepers Association of the ACT Heaps of information on Beekeeping, an exhibit of beekeeping equipment, demonstrations in basic Backyard Beekeeping as well as a live Demonstration Hive where you can try to spot the Queen . Plenty of beekeepers will be there so ask as many questions as you like. There will be honey tasting and, of course, honey for sale.
Rehydration of the Australian Landscape by Mulloon Creek Natural Farms Explore a range of ways we can work with natural ecosystem processes to go about rehydrating our tired and thirsty landscape, from the small scale urban block, right up to the broadacre farm.

Seed raising by the ANU Sustainability Learning Community Grow some organic goodies from scratch
Planting winter vegetables Over the course of the day we will be planting out our winter vegetables. Feel free to join in or talk to the SLC/ANU organic gardeners and become involved in this hands activity.
Pizza oven & chook shed demo Our newly completed pizza oven will be cooking all day. We will be holding a demonstration of the oven and discussing how we built the pizza oven and how to cook with it. Discuss the basics of keeping chickens at home ranging basic setups to elaborate chicken runs. On display will be our functional fox proofed chicken straw run complete with enclosure, chook tractor, green growing areas and hen house.
Korean Kimchi & Pickling by Taka & Heesun Learn how to make authentic Korean Kimchi (spicy pickled cabbage) and pickles. Delicious!
Kids Activities The ACT Heritage Childcare Centre has kindly donated a shady kids play area. Grab a coffee, cake, take a seat nearby and know they’re in good hands.
