Canberra Harvest Festival
Saturday March 27
Environment Centre Grounds (Lennox & Lawson Cr by the museum)
Crash your Carbon food miles.
The Canberra Harvest Festival is on again! We’re back this year with delicious, local organic goodies, free workshops, organic gardens, a gourmet organic lunch, great live music and even a biggest & best organic fruit & vegetable competition!! There’ll be free workshops on everything from planting your winter crop to bottling it, pizza oven and chook shed demonstrations, raw food and rehydrating the Australian landscape. There are also kids activities so you can grab a coffee & cake and keep an eye on the little ones from afar.
The Wedded Bliss, Wim's Gypsy Jazz and Rafe Morris will be playing through the afternoon, so you can get yourself a glass of preservative free, locally brewed beer or organic wine and kick back under the trees with some friends.
So come along to the lovely grounds of the Environment Centre, surrounded by organic gardens on the lake, stop in at a workshop, have a local lunch to the sweet sounds of fabulous Canberra-based musicians, and crash your carbon ‘food miles’ with some great local produce.
