Edible Garden "Starter Packs"
Growing your own food benefits you and the environment. Reduce you grocery bills, improve your health, and conserve our natural resources while enjoying the fresh, beautiful bounty of your garden.
Now available from the Envrionment Centre and the ANU Food Co-operative, the "Starter Packs" have what you need to begin your own edible garden. Including seed for eight different herbs and vegetables, planting and harvesting guides, important information on soil and water, and even recipes for your fresh produce.
These starter packs have been designed with small, urban spaces in mind, so if you thought you didn't have enough room to grow your own produce, think again.
Cost for the starter packs is $12 and can save you hundreds of dollars in groceries!
Demonstration Gardens
On site demonstration gardens are currently underway at the Envrionment Centre. The completed gardens are due to be unvieled on November 6th.
These gardens are open to the public during business hours and are designed to illustrate different ways in which you can utilize a small space for growing a functional garden. Free information to assist you with balcony and small space gardening will also be available.
